Job Summary
Fastech, a division of Assured Group Ltd is currently recruiting for experienced Vehicle Paint Technicians throughout the United Kingdom. We’re looking for experienced Automotive Vehicle Paint Technicians from all kinds of Automotive backgrounds. You will be an integral part of our team as a Vehicle Paint Technician working on all makes of vehicles.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Operates and uses all body shop equipment properly and safely.
- Mixes paint according to specifications.
- Selects and mixes coating liquid to produce desired colour.
- Paints surface using sprayer or brush as appropriate.
- Inspects painted units for quality of workmanship, noting any runs, sags and unpainted areas.
- Maintains tools and keeps equipment clean and in a proper state of repair.
- Maintains and wears all required safety and health personal protective equipment, including respirator, in the manner recommended by the equipment manufacturer.
- Complies with all laws and regulations pertaining to paint, thinners, and other hazardous materials. Reports any deviations to management.
- Cooperates and assists other personnel in the repair and prepping of vehicles.
Skills Requirements
- Experienced Bodyshop Painter / Prepper
- Working knowledge and initiative to ensure the most appropriate repair methods are used
- The ability to work alone and or part of team
- The ability to maintain high quality standards in fast-paced environment
- An awareness of safety procedures, flexible and reliable
Qualification and Experience
- 3-5 years proven and referenced experience
- ATA / NVQ / City and Guilds level 3
Shift / Hours
Flexible early, late and night shifts available depending on location.
